HEALTH
Health is the most power full issue in India, Delivering healthcare to over a billion people is a very complex challenge. SICT works in close collaboration partner organisations to secure accessible and quality maternal, Poor, needy child healthcare among marginalised communities. We work towards identifying the root causes of healthcare challenges, provide innovative solutions, and help implement secure and quality healthcare services in India. We promote essential newborn care and immunisation, reduce malnutrition, prevent infant and maternal deaths, Provide awareness of DENGUE, MALERIA, CHIKEN GUNIA, protect those affected by Tuberculosis (TB). SICT works closely with its partners to achieve good healthcare for everyone.

Education
SICT Start a Mission of Education provides basic education to underprivileged children, with the belief that education is both the means as well as the end to a better life because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood while also increasing one's awareness on a range of issues; in the process helping him/her evolve as a better citizen. We focuses on improving the conditions by which girls, especially those in the marginalized communities can access quality education. Education is an important tool that enables women and girls to participate in decisions that affect their lives and in improving their social status.

Livelihood
SICT believes in helping individuals live a life of dignity. To achieve this, our livelihood programmes focus on generating sustainable livelihoods. This is done through capacity building, fostering community links and promoting small businesses. SICT puts special focus on entrepreneurial ventures, which are owned by women. Through its livelihood programmes, SICT evolved as a logical linkage to Mission Education, based on the need to provide employability skills to high school pass-outs and urban underprivileged youth to enhance their prospects of employment in the fast expanding retail, hospitality and service sectors. SICT promotes microfinance, Self Help Groups, capacity building and small businesses. It also fosters linkages between community collectives and financial institutions. SICT also focuses on improving the literacy, numeracy and critical thinking skills to promote sustainable livelihoods.

DISASTER RESPONSE
SICT considers disaster preparedness and response as a critical aspect of its organisational mandate. SICT partnered with various states to build their capacities on disaster preparedness and response, and carried out quick emergency response. Due to disaster-prone country, India is highly vulnerable to various types of natural calamities due to its geographical positioning. According to the National Disaster Management Authority, Govt. of India, more than 58.6% of the country’s landmass is prone to earthquakes and over 12% is prone to floods; close to 5,700kms out of the 7,516kms long coastline is prone to cyclones and tsunamis; while 68% of its cultivable area is prone to droughts.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
SICT have a programme focusing on girl children and women empowerment. We have innovative and highly effective approach named the ‘Mahila Bikash’ which means Seeking Healthcare as a Behaviour, Support through Education, Support from Men through Male Involvement, and Sustaining Change in the Community.

CHIELD FOR CHIELD
SICT know that Children are the future of a nation. They are the best change agents, be it in the family or the community in which they live. It is therefore crucial to catch them young and inculcate in them feelings of empathy and conscience so that they grow up as responsible individuals.

EMPOWERING GRASSROOTS
SICT found that growth of the non-profit sector in India, in the last two decades, has been phenomenal. Grassroots TRUSTs & NGOs particularly, by engaging directly with the people, are able to participate in the thought-making process of the communities they work with, and thus have the capacity to bring about long-lasting positive change.
